Sometimes one image is not enough and a stack of them is too much. A landlord wants two receipts in a single attachment, a fitness account wants a before-and-after side by side, a job application wants the front and back of an ID in one file. Merging the images into a single picture solves it without launching any photo-editing software.
The Merge Images tool on Rash Tools handles the three layouts that cover almost every real use case. Horizontal places images side by side and is perfect for before-and-after comparisons. Vertical stacks them top to bottom and is ideal for combining screenshots of a long conversation. Grid arranges them as a tidy collage for product photos or holiday snaps.
Open the tool, drop in all the images you want to combine, drag the thumbnails to set the order, and choose a layout. Pick a gap between images (0 px for seamless, 10–20 px for a clean separated look), a background colour and an output format. The merged image is then ready to download as a single JPG, PNG or WebP.
Two extra controls handle common edge cases. 'Match width' resizes every image to the same width before stacking vertically, so screenshots from different devices line up neatly. 'Match height' does the same for horizontal layouts, which is what you want for before-and-after photos taken at slightly different sizes. Use either one and the result looks intentional rather than slapped together.
After merging, run the result through the Compress Image tool if you plan to upload it somewhere with a strict size limit. A merged collage can easily reach several megabytes, especially with phone-camera originals, and a quality setting of 80 typically shrinks it by 60% with no visible loss. The combination of merge plus compress gets you a clean, lightweight image ready for any upload form.
