      The Include symbols checkbox adds ASCII punctuation characters like ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~ by default; you can toggle Avoid ambiguous characters to strip similar symbols like | and l. Many websites reject certain symbols or enforce their own allowed set and maximum length, so if a site blocks characters use the Custom charset textbox to specify only allowed characters or generate a password, then use the tool's Replace button to swap disallowed characters. Remember very long passwords with many symbols improve entropy but can break older forms or autofill systems.

      After generating one or more passwords use the Download .csv button to produce passwords.csv encoded in UTF-8 with columns account,username,password,notes which 1Password and KeePass will accept on import if you map columns appropriately. For single entries you can Download .txt (passwords.txt) with only the password on the first line; KeePass also accepts tab-delimited .txt if you open it and re-save as .csv. Use the entropy bits to compare (aim for 80+ bits for typical account security, 128+ bits for long-lived keys), but also check real-world constraints: many sites limit length to 64 characters or disallow symbols.       Most sites accept 8–64 characters; Strong Password Generator offers 4–128 characters so set between 12–20 for regular accounts, 20–64 for sensitive accounts, and 64–128 for system keys or vault passwords if the site accepts them. Use a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols for maximum entropy, but check the target site's max length and allowed characters — the tool’s Avoid ambiguous characters option helps with sites that block similar symbols. If a site enforces a maximum of 32 characters, generate within that limit and store the password in a manager instead of memorizing it.

      The web app is fully functional on mobile browsers but mobile Safari and some Android WebViews throttle JavaScript memory, so generating large batches (over ~200 passwords) can cause slowdowns or crash the browser; generate smaller batches or use desktop for bulk exports. Clipboard behavior differs: iOS requires a direct tap and sometimes the Share/Copy menu instead of navigator.clipboard, while Android Chrome generally supports Copy button. For enterprise use, prefer desktop Chrome/Firefox for exporting .csv files and then import into your password manager to avoid accidental loss.

      Enable the Pronounceable toggle to have the generator produce passphrase-style passwords built from consonant–vowel syllables; you can set Word count between 3–8 (default 4) which yields easier-to-memorize passphrases like “moran-tike-pel”. Pronounceable mode trades some entropy per character compared with full-random symbols, so increase word count (5–7 words) to reach comparable strength for long-term secrets. Use the strength meter to verify entropy and prefer importing the result into your password manager rather than typing it if the string includes unusual hyphenation.

      Common issues include clipboard permission denials, browser memory warnings when creating very large batches, and sites rejecting characters generated because of policy; check the browser console for clipboard errors and click Allow or use Download .txt/.csv as workarounds.
