The results appear immediately in the Results panel with individual die values and the summed total; clicking any single result expands it to show the timestamp and seed info when available. To reroll the same configuration use the "Repeat Roll" icon next to the last entry in History; to start fresh click "Reset" to clear Quantity/Modifier fields.

    The tool allows up to 500 dice per single roll to balance browser memory and responsiveness; attempting more shows a warning and prevents the roll. History stores up to 1,000 roll entries in localStorage (oldest entries prune automatically); you can export history before it prunes using "Download JSON" or "Download CSV". Large multi-dice rolls (hundreds of dice) are slower on mobile — the app will display a progress indicator and recommends using desktop Chrome/Firefox for very large batches.

    Yes: use the "Export" button in the History panel to choose "Download CSV" (.csv) or "Download JSON" (.json) for numeric data exports, or "Export Image" to save a PNG (.png) or JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg) snapshot of the visible dice. CSV includes columns: timestamp, die_type, quantity, individual_values (pipe-separated), modifier, and total; JSON is an array of objects with the same fields. If the browser blocks automatic downloads, use "Copy Results" to copy plain-text output to clipboard and paste into a text editor.

    Choose d20 from the Die Type dropdown, set Quantity to 2, then toggle the "Advantage" or "Disadvantage" button; the tool will automatically pick the higher (advantage) or lower (disadvantage) of the two d20 rolls and show both individual dice with the chosen one highlighted. You can also add a Modifier in the "Modifier" field which applies after the advantage/disadvantage selection. For rolling multiple characters with mixed advantage states, create separate roll lines and use "Batch Roll" to execute them together.

    By default the app processes rolls locally in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues when available, and stores History in localStorage/IndexedDB only on your device; nothing is sent to the server unless you explicitly click "Share Link" to create a URL. The "Share Link" encodes the roll configuration (not your entire browsing history) into the query string so anyone with the link can reproduce it. Note: Safari private mode or strict tracking settings can block localStorage and prevent history from persisting; use normal browsing mode or export history if persistence is required.

    When the browser supports it, the tool uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) which provides a cryptographically strong RNG; if unavailable (older browsers or some privacy modes) it falls back to Math.random. This fallback is still adequate for casual tabletop use but is not cryptographically secure — the app displays a small "RNG source" badge in the Results panel showing which method was used. There is no user-settable seed or server-side seeding; reproducibility is achieved via the "Share Link" export of the configuration, not by seeding the RNG.

    Common causes include JavaScript being disabled, an aggressive ad/tracking blocker interfering with the app, or being in Safari private mode which blocks localStorage and IndexedDB; the app detects these and shows an error banner with steps. First enable JavaScript, whitelist the site in your ad/tracker blocker, or switch to a non-private tab and retry; click the "Reset" button to clear any stale UI state and then reconfigure your roll. If the download is blocked on export, disable popup blocking for the site or use the "Copy Results" button as a workaround.

    Yes: desktop Chrome and Firefox give the best performance for large rolls and file exports; mobile Safari on iOS has stricter memory limits and private mode that can prevent history persistence and large multi-dice rolls may time out or produce partial results. On mobile the UI uses stacked controls — tap the Die Type dropdown, then Quantity in the numeric keypad; rotate to landscape for larger panels and export buttons. Also note iOS may throttle long-running JavaScript, so for rolls over ~200 dice use a desktop browser to avoid incomplete renders.

    Use "Download JSON" (.json) or "Download CSV" (.csv) from the History export to feed results into spreadsheets, VTTs, or scripts; the JSON schema includes die_type, quantity, individual_values array, modifier, total, and timestamp. For quick sharing you can click "Share Link" which encodes the full roll configuration in the URL so collaborators can reproduce the same roll settings; there is no server API key or webhooks. If you need automated, repeated rolls, schedule a script to fetch and parse exported JSON files — the site does not currently offer a REST API.

    The "Export Image" dialog lets you choose PNG (lossless) or JPEG (lossy) and set image size up to 4096x4096 pixels; PNGs preserve crisp die faces but can be large—expect ~1–3 MB for 100 dice at default resolution, while JPEG at 80% quality often falls to ~200–600 KB. Use PNG for print-quality handouts and JPEG for quick sharing where smaller size matters; the export dialog shows an estimated file size before download. Extremely large canvases may hit browser memory limits on mobile, so reduce resolution for phones.
