Use the DEG/RAD toggle located above the numeric keypad — it shows the active mode (DEG or RAD) and is sticky in the same browser session. On desktop Chrome/Firefox the toggle persists via localStorage across normal sessions, but private/incognito windows do not retain the setting. If you get unexpected values, check the top-right label; for example entering sin(30) with DEG shows 0.5, while with RAD it gives -0.988... — change the toggle and press = to re-evaluate.

Calculations use JavaScript IEEE-754 double precision, so you get roughly 15–17 significant digits and maximum finite value about 1.7976931348623157e308 (Number.MAX_VALUE) and minimum ~5e-324. The expression input field accepts about 200 characters; extremely long chained expressions may slow down mobile browsers. History export is limited to 500 rows to avoid large downloads; if you need higher precision or arbitrary-size integers use a desktop tool (Python decimal, PARI/GP) because this calculator is optimized for fast browser numeric evaluation, not arbitrary-precision math.

Press the ! button after an integer (e.g., 10! = 3628800); factorials are implemented with IEEE double precision and integer factorials above 170 return Infinity because 171! exceeds Number.MAX_VALUE. For non-integer factorials use the Γ (gamma) button in the Advanced panel — for example Γ(4.5) computes using the Lanczos approximation and supports complex arguments like Γ(2+0.5i). If you need exact symbolic factorials (n!), use a CAS like Mathematica or SymPy; this tool provides numeric approximations only.

Yes — type complex literals using i (for example 2+3i) or press the i button; functions like exp, log, sin, cos operate on complex inputs and return complex results in the form a+bi.
