After the upload finishes you’ll see two buttons: Get link and Get code — Get link creates a long HTTPS URL, Get code displays a six-digit code and copies it with Copy code. Use the Share QR button to generate a QR image for mobile scanning. Recipients paste the link into any browser or go to the homepage and enter the 6-digit code in the Enter code field, then press Download to retrieve files.

The site accepts common image formats (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC), video (MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI), audio (MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC), documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT) and archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z). Single-file size is limited to 5 GB; you can upload up to 20 files per transfer with a total combined limit of 10 GB. Very large uploads work best in Chrome or Firefox on desktop; Safari on iOS is more likely to hit memory/timeout constraints for files above ~200–300 MB.

After choosing files, toggle Protect with password, enter a password, and click Apply — the download page will then require that password before file extraction. The server stores files encrypted at rest with AES-256, and the password is applied client-side to derive an additional encryption key using PBKDF2; without the password the stored ciphertext cannot be decrypted. Note this is not a guarantee of perfect secrecy: files still travel over HTTPS to our transient servers during upload, so combine password protection and short expiry for sensitive material.

Default expiry is 7 days from upload; on the upload page use the Expiry dropdown to change to 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days before generation. Once a link or code is created you cannot extend its expiry — you must re-upload the files to create a fresh transfer with a new expiry. After the expiry time the server automatically deletes files and the link/code returns a Not Found or Code expired message on access.

When your upload completes click Share QR next to Get link/Get code — the tool instantly generates a PNG QR containing the HTTPS download URL. You can right-click the QR and Save image as... on desktop or tap and hold to save on mobile; scanning the QR opens the download page in the device’s default browser. The QR reflects the same expiry and password settings as the link or code, so scanning after expiry prompts an expired transfer page.

Recipients who open the HTTPS link land on a simple download page listing filenames and sizes with a prominent Download button; if a password was set they’ll see a Password required field above the Download button. Entering a valid 6-digit code on the homepage’s Enter code field takes the user to the identical download page. Downloads happen over HTTPS; large files are streamed from server storage so the recipient’s browser will show standard Save/Keep dialogs and progress bars depending on the browser (Chrome/Firefox show progress in the download shelf, Safari shows the Downloads popover).

If uploads fail at ~99% you may see Upload failed — this is usually a network interruption, browser timeout, or file over the 5 GB limit. Fixes: retry in Chrome or Firefox, disable ad-blockers/privacy extensions, split the file into smaller parts using ZIP/7-Zip, or use a wired network. For Safari on iOS/Mac you may need to allow site storage (Settings → Safari → Website Data) and refresh the page; if a code says Code expired you must re-upload to get a new code.

On desktop (Chrome/Firefox) you get robust uploads, drag-and-drop, and stable large-file handling; progress appears in the browser’s download/up-load UI. On iOS Safari the system may convert HEIC images to JPEG and large uploads are more likely to fail due to lower memory and backgrounding — use Chrome on Android or a desktop for transfers over ~300 MB. The QR feature is useful for moving files from desktop to phone: click Share QR, scan with the phone camera to download directly.

No automatic re-encoding is applied; files are uploaded byte-for-byte and downloads deliver the original file extensions and content (for example a .MOV remains .MOV, .PDF remains .PDF). The only exception is some mobile browsers (not the service) that may convert HEIC or live-photos before upload — this is a client-side conversion by iOS. If you need smaller video or image files, compress locally with HandBrake for video or Photoshop/Resize in Photos for images before upload to save upload time and bandwidth.

Uploads are transmitted over HTTPS and stored on temporary servers encrypted at rest with AES-256; links are unpredictable random URLs and 6-digit codes act as an additional access layer. No signup is required and files are auto-deleted on expiry (24 hours / 7 days / 30 days options), but the service is not a substitute for end-to-end encrypted platforms if you require provable zero-knowledge storage. For highly sensitive files, combine the Protect with password feature and keep expiry short, or pre-encrypt files locally with tools like 7-Zip AES or GPG before uploading.

This tool transfers files as-is and does not offer advanced compression or re-encoding controls: use HandBrake to reduce large MP4/MOV sizes with specific bitrate/resolution control before uploading, and use Acrobat’s PDF optimizer to downsample images and remove embedded fonts to shrink PDFs. For images, export from Photoshop with Save for Web (set quality and format like JPEG/PNG/WebP) to reduce upload time. Preparing files locally can save bandwidth and avoid upload timeouts; once prepared, use Add files to upload and share immediately via link or 6-digit code.

The core service is free and requires no signup — you can upload, get a link or 6-digit code, enable password protection, set expiry, and share without creating an account. There are no download watermarks added to your files and no visible branding on the download itself, but free transfers have the stated limits (5 GB single-file, 10 GB combined per transfer, up to 20 files). If you repeatedly need larger or longer-retained transfers, the site will prompt upgrade options (optional paid plans) but basic sending remains available without signing in.
